Why is my screen flickering?
Screen flickering can result from display driver issues, cable problems, or incompatible refresh rates.
Screen flickering is a common issue often linked to display driver issues, faulty cables, or incorrect refresh rates. Begin by checking for display driver updates, as outdated drivers can cause flickering issues. In some cases, uninstalling the driver entirely and reinstalling the latest version can provide a fresh start. If you’re using a monitor with a computer, inspect the cable for damage, and ensure it’s fully connected on both ends. For HDMI and DisplayPort cables, switching to a different port on the monitor may help. In the display settings, make sure the refresh rate is compatible with your monitor’s specifications—some monitors support only 60 Hz, while others can go higher. Testing the monitor with another device can confirm if it’s a hardware issue with the monitor itself or with the computer.
